Managing Cravings

Have you ever found anything that takes away your cravings for junk food? Besides caving in and eating the food you were craving! Cravings happen to just about everyone, it's what we do when they hit that makes all the difference. "White knuckling" it with will power just doesn't work in the long run. If you know cravings will hit, the best defense is a good offense. This article will provide with valuable tips and tools to keep your junk food cravings under control.

Cravings are often a result of our emotions, anxiety or stress.

Our bodies can often crave high sugar and high fat foods in an attempt to "medicate" ourselves into a calmer state when we are avoiding our emotions or under a lot of stress. When we are in these emotional or stressful states, our bodys' energy flow may be blocked or reversed. Did you know you can totally elminate these cravings in seconds?

Using EFT to Eliminate Cravings

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is often helpful to quickly eliminate food cravings. It works like accupuncture by stimulating the energy meridians in your body to bring it back into balance; but there are no needles and you can do it yourself. EFT is effective and easy to learn. You can get started for free with the Free Get Started Package available at emofree.com. Many people choose EFT because it is a confidential way to work on your emotional overeating issues. There is nothing to lose by trying it and it can ultimately lead to a healthier life.

Nutrition and Cravings

Cravings may also happen when the body’s putting out too little insulin to control the dizzying blood sugar drop from not eating enough. This is also a very good reason why it’s essential to not skip breakfast: it tends to keep the craving beast at bay and gives rise to the body’s actual legitimate cravings. Yes, legitimate cravings. This means the body’s salt or sugar levels are down and need recharging … but just a bit to bridge you over to the next snack or for lunch.

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. Further, Gary Craig is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and as a personal performance coach. Those who want to discuss the use of EFT for a specific emotional problem with a professional in the mental health field are referred to our Referral section, where a number of licensed practitioners who use EFT in their practices are listed.
